If something is wrong, we want to hear about it. That includes anything to do with safety, your training, your hours or records, another student, or a member of our staff. Raising a concern will not affect your place at this school or how you are treated here.

You do not need to put it in writing to start, and you do not need an appointment. The founder and Chief Executive Officer keeps an open door for exactly this. Walk in and say it. You do not have to be certain you are right, and you do not have to have it typed up.

HOW TO RAISE A COMPLAINT

  1. Step one — tell us

    Speak to your instructor, or come to the school office, or call (916) 380-1218. If you would rather put it in writing, email office@1on1truckacademy.com — but writing is welcome, not required.

  2. Step two — we document it

    Every complaint is recorded. Where two people are involved, we take an individual statement from each, we verify them, both statements are signed, you are given a copy, and a copy is kept in our records. Nothing is settled in a hallway and forgotten.

  3. Step three — if it is not resolved

    You may submit the complaint in writing to the School Director at office@1on1truckacademy.com. The School Director will review it and respond to you in writing.

  4. Step four — the Bureau

    If we do not resolve it, you have the right to take it to the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education. You are not required to complete the steps above first, and you do not need our permission. The Bureau's details are below.

Anything involving safety, or any conduct covered by our zero-tolerance policy — harassment, threatening or aggressive behaviour, slurs, intimidation or bullying — should be reported immediately and does not need to follow the steps in order. Come straight to the office.

FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE BUREAU

"A student or any member of the public may file a complaint about this institution with the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education by calling (888) 370-7589 or by completing a complaint form, which can be obtained on the bureau's internet website www.bppe.ca.gov."
